Stage 1 - Nottingham to Newstead

Nottingham to Newstead services commenced on the 17th May 1993

On the 8th May 1993, Robin Hood Line Fun Day, eleven days before the passenger

services started, the driver gives up the train staff for the single line section to Hucknall.

As can be seen by the rusty rail the Calverton Colliery branch is now out of use.

The end of Phase 1 in 1994.  DMU 156 403 has pulled forward out of Newstead Station

on to level track so the driver can change ends before returning to Nottingham.  July 1995
