Chengzihe is part of the Jixi system of colliery lines

 

Beichang Washery

The slurry from the washery is deposited in bunds where, once it has dried off, the locals collect
 it with horses and carts.   It is mixed with clay and moulded into coal briquettes for sale.
 

 

 

 

As in much of China the railway lines appear to be footpaths for the locals

 

SY 1437 leaves Beichang Washery with a coal train for the China Rail Exchange Sidings.
