Jalainur

In the north east near the Russian border the mine system was, in 2005, entirely worked by SY steam locos.
At the beginning of November 2005 the mine was very busy with 35 locos in steam. A further 12 were stored,
out of use, in a nearby field, guarded by a man and a dog!  The out of service locos gave the  impression that
they were rotated with the in-service ones as some had clearly run recently and two were ex-works.
