The final Deltic railtour, on the 2nd January 1981, ran from Kings Cross to Edinburgh behind 55 015
Tulyar and returning behind 55 022 Royal Scots Grey". South of Newark the train triggered a hot
box detector and the train was stopped south of Newark Northgate for investigation. It turned out to
be a false alarm and the train then continued.
